The long sandy beach that stretches for 3 Km, is particularly family-friendly and the water is shallow so children can be left safely to play.
Those who venture out of Acharavi resort in either direction will find that the beach gets more sandy, and less crowded too, so it is worthwhile exploring.
Seas along this part of the coast are very shallow indeed making this a safe place to swim but strong underwater currents can occur when the winds get up so wise bathers will note the color of the warning beach flags. The shallow water also makes for plenty of good snorkeling.
The neighboring resort of Roda, is only a pleasant 30 minute stroll up the beach or 10 minutes by car.
Acharavi is a quiet beach resort 36 km from the main town of Corfu, located on the north coast of Corfu with a family-friendly beach, plenty of shops and many good tavernas.
The resort is long and strung out along the main road where most of the restaurants and bars are sited and with yet more tavernas, bars and cafes along the road fronting the beach.
